 A Polaroid emulsion lift is an alternative photographic technique that involves separating the thin, gelatinous image layer (emulsion) from its plastic backing and transferring it onto a new surface, such as paper, glass or fabric.  This artistic process allow the image to be manipulated, warped, or folder, creating a unique, painterly and often fragile, one of a kind piece of art.
