Sarah Wren Wilson
Sarah Wren Wilson is a visual artist based in Mayo. She holds a Fine Art Honours Degree from Loughborough University, an MA in Fine Art from the Glasgow School of Art, and an MSc in Art Psychotherapy from Ulster University. Her work has been exhibited internationally in Spain, Finland, Sweden, China, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Recent highlights include a fellowship residency at the Ballinglen Art Foundation, a residency at the RHA/IPUT Wilton Park Studios, and being shortlisted for the RHA Hennessy Craig Award in 2022. Solo exhibitions include Spectator at the Ashford Gallery, RHA (2022), If Only I Knew at Hang Tough Contemporary (2023), In Landing at Supermarket International Art Fair, Stockholm (2025), and Caught in Blue at Custom House Gallery, Westport (2025). Her work is held in the collections of the Arts Council of Ireland, the Royal Collection UK, Mayo County Council, and private collections internationally. Wilson's practice explores abstraction, perception, and the psyche through painting and sculpture. Informed by psychotherapy, Jungian psychology, and the landscape of the West of Ireland, her work investigates the relationship between unconscious impulse and conscious decision-making, creating immersive spaces that invite reflection on emotion, memory, and place.
